Note: You may need to enter a "dimensional weight" into the shipping form, instead of the actual weight. If your package is large (over 1728 cubic inches - for example, that's over 12" x 12" x 12"; or 6" x 18" x 16"; or 6" x 36" x 8"; or 8" x 3" x 72"), then enter the dimensions into the calculator. If the result is bigger than the actual weight of your package, enter that amount into the "Package weight" field when you list your item or use the seller shipping calculator.

Calculating dimensional weight

To calculate dimensional weight on your own, use this formula:

Dimensional Weight = (length x width x height)/194. You should round up the result.

For example, if your package is 15" x 12" x 12":
(15 x 12 x 12) = 2160 / 194 = 11.1 -> 12

UPS Ground shipments

• If the length + girth is between 84 and 108 inches, select Large Package/Oversize 1.

• If the length + girth is between 108 and 130 inches, select Very Large Package/Oversize 2.

• If the length + girth is between 130 and 165 inches, select Extra Large Package/Oversize 3.

Note:
Girth is defined as the length of the string you would need if you wrapped it around the two smaller sides of the package.

Size limits

UPS supports packages up to 165 inches in length plus girth.

Length is the longest side of a package. Girth is defined as the length of the string you would need if you wrapped it around the two smaller sides of a package.

If the longest side of your package is over 60 inches or the second longest side is over 30 inches, then this is considered an irregular sized package. You should select the "Irregular or unusual package" option when you list your item
